UA Strut Assembly, P/N A3482-4UA will be similar to Marathon Norco Strut Assembly, P/N A3482-4 in fit, form and function.The Strut Assembly is designed to withstand heavy load, vibration, a wide temperature range, and to resist corrosion. The Strut outer tube release collar automatically locks in the fully extended or intermediate position, allowing the fan cowl to stay opened. In the stowed (unlocked) position, the fan cowl is closed, the inner tube (under compressive load) mates with the fan cowl receiver pin. The Strut Assembly does not interface with any electrical or hydraulic systems on the aircraft.
